Dr. Anand Mehta is a distinguished board-certified family medicine physician renowned for his dedication to patient-centered care and his innovative approach within the field of direct primary care (DPC). With over 15 years of experience in family medicine and 4 years experience in direct primary care, Dr. Mehta has established himself as a leader in bridging the gap between traditional healthcare and personalized, accessible medicine.
As a board member of the Direct Primary Care Alliance (DPCA), Dr. Mehta actively advocates for the advancement of DPC models nationwide, promoting transparency, affordability, and patient autonomy in healthcare delivery. His leadership role underscores his commitment to reshaping the healthcare landscape to prioritize patient well-being and satisfaction.
Dr. Mehta's medical practice is distinguished by his unwavering empathy and dedication to building meaningful relationships with his patients. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, he attended SUNY Buffalo. With a robust medical background and extensive clinical experience, Dr. Mehta graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India and completed his residency training in family medicine at Hunterdon Health in Flemington, NJ. He has previously worked for Hunterdon Health, Tenet Healthcare, WellStar Healthcare, and as the first Medical Director for Walmart Health. He has successfully built his own thriving practice, Stand Up Family Medicine having opened in 2020.
Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Mehta enriches his community through his passion for stand-up comedy, blending humor with his insights from the healthcare profession. This unique combination allows him to engage audiences and break down barriers surrounding healthcare topics, promoting health awareness in an engaging and approachable manner.
Dr. Mehta is a doting husband and busy father to three young children. When he is not busy with family life, he has been seen around Atlanta doing stand-up comedy, playing basketball, pickleball, watching the Buffalo Bills, and he enjoys traveling.
